AIP’s Insulation crepe papers with the required quality specifications for electrical insulation purpose are made entirely from high-grade electrical kraft base paper. These papers are totally free from conductive particles and are used as insulation in Distribution, Power/ current /potential transformers.
The base paper used for manufacturing insulating crepe paper has some excellent properties. This base paper is chemically neutral with low ash, chloride and sulphate content. The paper has a very uniform formation and 100% unbleached sulphate conifer wood pulp.
The Crepe paper is used to manufacture oil-immersed transformers, current transformers of type CT, CVT… for making leads and shields, This paper has 300% more strength and can take various shapes.
Creped Papers are ideally suited to insulate irregular shapes and surfaces where a proper insulation can not be reached with flat papers. Specialities were developed for applications as magnet wire insulation, as layer insulation, in current transformers, in RIP bushings or as shielding material
